Scott Shields

(Owner, Pilates, GYROTONIC (R), & GYROKINESIS(R) Methods)

Scott began dancing and performing at an early age. She was drawn to classical ballet and studied and performed in productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and other local productions. She was also able to take classes with some ballet greats Fredrick Franklin and Alexander Minz.  She graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a degree in Drama/Dance and Communications.  She has performed in several equity shows such as Gypsy and South Pacific.  She moved to Las Vegas and continued her acting work appearing in several television shows and a national commercial in addition to joining the cast of The Lido de Paris Show at The Stardust Hotel. One of the cast members in The Lido was Dolly Kelepecz who brought Pilates to Las Vegas.  In 2010 having known and danced with Dolly she enrolled in her DK Body Balancing Method and became a certified Pilates Instructor.  Scott was also introduced to The GYROTONIC(R) Method and became certified in 2014 and has since certified in GYROKINESIS(R) as well as specialized equipment the Jumping Stretch Board and the Archway.   She continues to study and learn in order to offer the best to her clients.  That is also why she is opening her own studio. It just seemed like the next step so that she can offer her clients an environment where they can expand their abilities.

Esthee Wong

Esthee Wong is a somatics-oriented Pilates, GYROTONIC®, and dance teacher. Born in Singapore, she holds a Business Degree, and had started a multinational manufacturing company before she turned 35. She started dancing and Pilates to combat the burnout from endless hours in the office, and manage her Ankylosing spondylitis.

In 2009, she decided to switch to dance and movement education as a career, opening a dance studio in Singapore, and eventually becoming a finalist in the Asian Salsa Championship in 2012. Since then, Esthee focused on somatics-oriented dance and movement education, getting certified in various modalities of Pilates and GYROTONIC®. After moving to Las Vegas in 2015, she pursued a formal degree in dance at  UNLV.

On any given day, you are likely to find Esthee in one of the numerous Vegas studios, dancing ballet, jazz, tap, flamenco, west coast swing, zouk, salsa, or tango.

Esthee enjoys working with clients of all ages and levels of experience, from kids to professional dancers to seniors and people with special needs. Her guiding principle is always the same: enhance the freedom and joy of movement through developing a deeper awareness of how our mind and body work together. Her classes are known for creative use of props, focus on mindfulness and visualization, and exploration of movement potential.

Candice Kinsey

Candice spent 20+ years in the physically taxing food and beverage industry dealing with years of back pain, then discovered she had been born with fused lumbar vertebrae and scoliosis, after months with no movement and very little exercise she began searching for a way to return to the intensely athletic lifestyle of basketball, weight training and Muay Thai she once loved. While working for Wolfgang Puck in Singapore, Candice fell in love with mat Pilates and found it to be one of the most helpful yet challenging things she’d ever done…fast-forward 10+ years of travel and opening restaurants -- she was overworked, stressed out and had been having further episodes of low back issues. Candice was burned out in the food and beverage world, and knew she loved Pilates and loved teaching, plus her body was telling her to find a new career! Then the pandemic came along and made her slow down and make what would be a life changing decision and push to help her make the leap into Pilates for life and a career! Candice has completed all of her Balanced Body Comprehensive Modules and is a Balanced Body Integrated Movement Specialist. Her favorite things about Pilates are that it has something for everyone, and what it comes down to is the dedication to the practice, the further your practice takes you the deeper the connections become the harder Pilates becomes for you and your body. In Candice's classes you will always be guaranteed planks, 100 and multiple different ways to move your spines (she loves to add rotation to whatever exercise she can wink wink;)

Catherine D’Agostino

First Name: Catherine, but my nickname is Cat. I have been a dancer and performer since the age of ten, and I have been teaching dance and fitness from the age of 15.

Classes:  I enjoy instructing clients in private sessions  on the GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower.  I also teach Pilates for private training, as well as small group classes.

Qualifications: A.A. Liberal Arts, PMA NCPT, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® certified and licensed.

Speciality: Corrective and Rehab based protocols for special populations such as senior clientele, clients with scoliosis, and students recovering from an injury.

Favorites:  I am very fond of the handle unit exercises in GYROTONIC® because it allows the spine to discover complex movement patterns with ease and gracefulness. I also love the Pilates push through bar for helping clients to work the arc of potential movement.

Motto: We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.

Christina Ghiardi

Christina is originally from Morgantown, WV but has called Las Vegas home since 2014. Christina is a professional ballet dancer with Nevada Ballet Theatre and has performed numerous leading roles at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts since joining NBT in 2014. Christina was first introduced to Pilates in her early teenage years as a form of cross training for ballet and injury prevention/recovery. After a decade of practicing Pilates herself, Christina completed the Classical Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program through the Pilates Center of Las Vegas under the direction of Elena Barley in 2017. Upon completing her certification, Christina began teaching at various studios and to private clients in the Summerlin area, in addition to virtual Pilates sessions. Pilates is still a huge part of Christina’s day to day life and she credits so much of her strength as a ballerina to Pilates principles. Christina loves passing along her passion for Pilates and fitness through her more athletic structured Pilates classes.
